These units & supports are available for households with low or modest incomes. Income maximums are legislated by the Government of Alberta based on the number of bedrooms required by the household.

Applications are prioritized based on greatest need. Eligible applicants are then placed on a waiting list for the most suitable housing subsidy program. Once a housing option becomes available, applications are selected from the wait list based on the established prioritization.

Generally, rental fees for a housing unit are based on 30% of the households total combined gross income, some income exemptions apply. If the household is a recipient of a social allowance, rent is based on rates determined by the Social Allowance Rental Rate Schedule established by the Government of Alberta.
