About this service
MHCHS manages 130 units of Affordable Housing. Members of households with stable but low or modest incomes may apply for our Affordable or Below Market Housing program, which provides rental housing at a rate below the market average for a similar sized unit.
Rental rates are fixed at approximately 10-30% less than the private market rental rate in Medicine Hat and are calculated using average Private Rental Rate statistics (provided by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation).
