The Youth Summer Employment program, offered by Rupertsland Institute (RLI), is designed to provide valuable work experience for Metis youth in a location of their choice during the summer. The program targets Metis youth aged 15 to 30 who plan to return to school in the fall. It is part of RLI's broader services designed to help Metis individuals prepare for and secure employment. These services include job assistance, funded training, employment information, and other tailored programs to aid in long-term career planning. The trained Metis advisors from RLI's office locations and Mobile Employment units throughout the province provide these services.
