The Community Wellbeing Grant Program is an initiative introduced in recognition of the 75th anniversary of supporting community wellness in Alberta. The program aims to provide resources for creating healthy, vibrant lives across communities in this province. Each year, the program presents awards of $1000 to exceptional volunteers and an additional $1000 to the charitable organization they serve. The goal is to recognize and invest in individuals who contribute to the health and wellness of Albertans. Nominations are open until June 30, and nominees must be volunteers with organizations promoting physical, mental, or social wellbeing. The nominated volunteer must accept the nomination, and all nominations must be made by the eligible Alberta-based organization the nominee volunteers with. Upon selection of a nominated volunteer, their respective organization receives a matching donation of $1000.
