Supported Employment

The Supported Employment program offers a range of employment and daytime options to individuals, with the goal of working towards their chosen set of goals. This could include finding a new job, engaging in social activities, attending skill development classes, or working towards retirement. Job developers support these individuals, especially once employment is secured, and encourage independence at their job, while also supporting the development of natural workplace supports. The program also offers skill development classes, education, and leisure support to individuals, along with the opportunity to connect with peers. Individuals are given the chance to apply for employment in the program's businesses, such as bottle depots and a woodwork business, as positions become available. Furthermore, the program focuses on serving individuals with higher needs, including the development of life and social skills, personal care, community awareness, and introduction to work.
