Post-secondary scholarships aim to remove financial barriers present in education. These scholarships, offered by Alberta Blue Cross, target Indigenous students and are available at accredited post-secondary institutions. Alberta Blue Cross not only offers scholarships at six Indigenous post-secondary institutions in Alberta but also awards six annual scholarships to Indigenous students across the province. Each year, they support more than 70 scholarships, ranging from $750 to $1,500, awarded to full-time students based on academic achievement and financial need. These scholarships are administered directly through accredited post-secondary institutions. They believe that supporting education will improve the wellness of communities.
