The Literacy & Parenting Skills program provides a variety of services aimed at improving learning and communication skills. Offered in a group setting over 8 weeks, participants choose topics such as positive discipline, family dynamics, and self-esteem building. There are sessions to boost confidence in learning, promote self-advocacy, and improve time management, goal planning, and budgeting. One-on-one support is also available for help with program sign-ups, basic technology, and accessing community resources. The program also provides family literacy sessions, which emphasize book-sharing activities, literacy support, and social time to connect with other families. This program accommodates newcomers and Indigenous communities. There's also a workshop for caregivers to create engaging activities for their children. Possible fees for sessions may apply.
