Heritage Discovery Centre

Located in the lower level of Centre 2000, the Heritage Discovery Centre Is an engaging, interpretive museum that takes visitors through a geological and industrial time-line as portrayed from the Mesozoic Era, through the last Ice Age and into the development of local, natural resources.Content rich displays, video documentaries and hands-on exhibits give visitors a multi-sensory perception of what life was like for those who called Grande Prairie and area home. The Heritage Discovery Centre is also home to 'Piper', a life-size, animatronic dinosaur who represents the Pachyrhinosaurus species discovered in the Peace Country.The Kin Gallery is a flexible exhibit space which changes regularly to feature travelling and custom exhibits.The Centre offers a high level of accessibility and is suitable for all ages.Admission is always FREE!

Heritage Discovery Centre is open Tuesday 11:30am - 4:30pm Wednesday 11:30am - 4:30pm Thursday 11:30am - 4:30pm Friday 11:30am - 4:30pm Saturday 11:30am - 4:30pm Sunday 11:30am - 4:30pm.
