About this service
The City of Grande Prairie offers a welcome package for new Canadian residents who have lived in the country for less than three months. This package provides access to the city's recreational facilities and public transit. Approval for the package also grants the applicant automatic approval for the city's Recreation Access and Transit Access Programs for one year. The package is intended to aid newcomers in familiarizing themselves with the community. Applications can be made in person at the Community Social Development office, or via an agency referral form for those supported by community-based organizations.
