GPPCS - ML Clarkson Bursary

GPPCS created the ML Clarkson Education Bursary in 2019, thanks to a generous donation from Marion L. Clarkson. This award honors Marion Clarksons commitment to life-long learning and commitment to giving back to community. As a retired schoolteacher that dedicated her life to enhancing education with various interests throughout her career.

This bursary is awarded periodically at the discretion of the Board of Directors of GPPCS and is intended to support volunteers and/or health professionals working in palliative care by helping them access end-of-life education opportunities. The Society reserves the right to award as many or as few bursaries, based on the criteria and number of submissions. Priority will be given to those applications that will benefit the communities in NW Alberta. The bursary is ML Clarksons contribution to make affordable education opportunities be made available to enhance the community capacity to deliver best quality care in this community.
