The Traditional Healing Garden is a component of the Pikiskwetan Program, which is a mental health service catering to adults and teens over the age of 16. The service aids in managing emotions such as low mood, anxiety, and stress, along with any other life issue one might be facing, and is available both virtually and in person. The program features Mental Health Navigators who deliver a judgment-free environment and culturally based peer support to help individuals access suitable resources in their locality. This initiative also extends its services to agencies, businesses, industry, and community groups through mental health presentations. As part of the Traditional Healing Garden Project, the program encourages survivors and the community to come together to heal and to honor the children discovered at former residential schools.
