This is a new 5-year program funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada to help reduce behaviors of those at risk of contracting HIV, Hepatitis C, and other bloodborne pathogens. This program works from a cultural attachment framework and works to build relations within the community to encourage priority populations to know their status through regular screening processes. The Project: Our culture is one of acceptance. Our project welcomes ALL people. We offer services including: - Support for people living with HIV, Hepatitis C, STIs, and BBPs - Connection to traditional Indigenous ceremonies, medicines, and elders - Information about HIV, Hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and bloodborne pathogens (BBPs) and testing - Free safer sex supplies - Preventative programs - Education and awareness surrounding HIV, Hepatitis C, STIs, and BBPs
