About this service
BESKY is a free 8-week full time in class employment readiness program which enhances the skills of young job-seekers, followed potentially by up to 12 weeks of paid full time work experience. Participants get a living allowance while attending the in-class portion of the program. The employment readiness classes take place at The Learning Centre Literacy Association in The Orange Hub and covers job search skills, resumes, cover letter writing, interview preparation, workplace skills, career planning, computer literacy, financial literacy, and many employment certifications. The BESKY program is for individuals 18-30 years of age, who are having trouble gaining employment. Individuals who are currently employed or in receipt of employment insurance (EI) are not eligible for BESKY.
