About this service
Rapid Rehousing supports youth with low/mid acuity who are homelessness for the first time. RR provides intervention to reduce risk of street entrenchment, victimization and traumatization. RR works closely with the CAA Youth Placement Committee to identify youth who have been homeless for less than three months, lower acuity and have maintained some contact/connection with family and/or natural supports. Youth will be assigned a Permanency worker who will work closely with youth and natural supports to access opportunity for reconnection/reunification. If a young person is unable to return home or receive housing support from natural supports the focus will shift to support the young person to live independently within three to six months.
*Youth must be assessed through Safe Communities Opportunity and Resource Centre (SORCe)
