About this organization

Shir Chadash is a Conservative Jewish community in Saskatoon. While our numbers are small, our warmth and welcoming spirit is huge. Shir Chadash means "A New Song". You are welcome to come and enjoy sharing Shabbatot, weekly onegs, Jewish holidays, mitzvot, and social events with our family of members and friends. Every week we celebrate Shabbat on Friday evening starting at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning starting at 10:00 a.m. Check the Events link on this website for details about other upcoming events. Shir Chadash has weekly Hebrew school classes for children and adults and holds other educational programs as listed on the Events calendar. We have a growing, borrowing library for all members to use. Sisterhood actively supports Shir Chadash events and is a wonderful venue for women to form friendships and build Jewish homes and community. You also have opportunities to honour people and contribute to our community by adding a leaf to our Tree of Life.
