About this service
Since November 1, 2017, La Dauphine has opened its emergency shelter for street youth, located at 33, rue D'Auteuil, Quebec, for the entire winter season. Thus, young people will be able to sleep in the Local des jeunes arranged for the night in a dormitory which can accommodate up to 9 people, aged between 18 and 35, with or without their pet. As there are a limited number of places, registration is between 4:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., 7 days a week and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
At least two workers are present on site. A lunch is served to young people when they arrive and a breakfast is offered when they get up. Pets also receive a substantial meal and fresh water.
