About this service
In Quebec, the Red Cross is the main partner of public authorities in matters of disaster services. During disasters or emergencies, first responders contact the Red Cross for disaster relief support through a call center. An alert procedure then makes it possible to quickly mobilize the volunteer teams closest to the incident. The Red Cross offers the following disaster and emergency services: emergency accommodation, reception and information, emergency food, emergency clothing, personal services and family reunification.
Throughout Quebec, teams of volunteers duly trained in emergency response are ready to be mobilized at all times.
