Respite - Association for the Social Integration of the Region of Quebec

The Specialized Respite at Home service enables people with autism or an intellectual disability and their loved ones to benefit from a range of specialized respite services in the form of babysitting, assistance or accompaniment.

Respite is a time when loved ones of people with autism or living with an intellectual disability take the opportunity to relax, recharge their batteries and carry out activities that allow them to increase their social participation and their well-being (shopping, outings with friends or family, beauty care, etc.). The respite time is therefore a time for oneself, where it is not recommended to perform tasks in the context of a paid job since this does not allow the loved one to recharge their batteries.

This service is initially offered to the homes of people and their relatives residing on the territory of the agglomeration of Qubec covered by the RTC bus network
