About this service
Its mission is to help refugees better understand and better use the network of services to allow them to integrate into the Quebec health system. The health program has been enriched by the very origins of its clientele. It adjusts its procedures according to this clientele, in collaboration with its partners and the health network in general. The traditional activities offered, such as vaccination, accompaniment to the pharmacy and emergencies, screening, identification and follow-up in general.
Goals
- Allow the CMQ and the medical team to pay immediate and particular attention to the state of health o of the refugees upon their arrival.
- Quickly detect health problems.
- Assess situations that require emergency response.
- Prioritize cases for making appointments at the Refugee Health Clinic and follow up.
- Obtain or renew prescriptions, in particular those issued from abroad.
