About this service
These skills facilitate their integration into Qubec society and prepare for their transition to studies or the job market.
The MIDI provides newcomers with free part-time French lessons for those who want to begin their journey of integration into Quebec society, taking into account their needs and their schedule. To this end, the establishment of beginner and intermediate level courses is essential to meet the needs of learners. These courses are offered in the premises of the MEI for four sessions per year.
The following people are eligible for courses:
- Permanent resident
- Naturalized Canadian citizen with a work permit and a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) or code 27 work permit
- Person with a study permit and a Quebec selection certificate (CSQ) or study permit code 37
- Asking for asylum
- A person on whom asylum is conferred.
The courses are free and offered to those who hold the required documents.
