About this service
Food security activities and programs are intended for all residents of Appartements St-Pie X.
- Food distribution
- Every Friday, food collected and provided by Moisson Qubec is distributed. People must go to the Community Caf from 1 p.m. before being directed to the distribution room where volunteers welcome them. For a first visit, registration is done with the presentation of the lease. A $1 fee is charged for each visit.
- Collective kitchens
- Small groups of 4-6 people plan and prepare meals once a month. An opportunity to learn, share, have fun and save on meal costs. Registration is mandatory to be part of a group, a $12 fee is required for additional purchases of foodstuffs provided by Moisson Qubec.
- Community gardens
- Spaces are available for cultivation in soil and in smart pots. The material is provided by L'vasion but the harvests are the fruit of the work of the participants in the project, young and old.
