The Antidote - Duberger Youth Center

The Maison des Jeunes L'Antidote de Duberger was created in November 1997 and became a non-profit organization.

The organization is an initiative of the Optimist Club of Duberger and citizens of the area. It opens its doors to young people aged 12 to 17 from the neighborhood. The mission of Maison des Jeunes is to hold a place of meeting and reference where young people can become active, critical and responsible citizens through their sense of belonging to the organization as well as in contact with significant stakeholders. The organization actively contributes to the reduction of vandalism, violence, drug addiction and risky behavior among neighborhood youth. The organization is currently targeting two areas of major material and social deprivation (Duberger-Sud and Les Saules-Nord) targeted by the CIUSSS de la Vieille-Capitale within their most recent portrait of deprivation.
