About this organization
The purpose of the Referral Service is to provide anyone who requests it (able to pay the cost of legal services or eligible for legal aid) with the name of a lawyer registered with the service and willing to offer an initial consultation of one hour against payment of a fixed fee of $60 plus taxes, if applicable. The service is provided by lawyers from the Barreau de Qubec whose experience covers all areas of law. If the problem requires additional legal services and you agree to pursue the case, then you will have to agree personally with the lawyer, both on the scope of the mandate and on the fees to be paid to him, when he it is not a legal aid mandate.
