About this organization

Alternatives is a solidarity organization that works for justice and economic, social, political, civil, cultural and environmental rights in Quebec, Canada and elsewhere in the world. We support citizen action and the autonomous contribution of popular and social movements in building sustainable societies. Alternatives participates in local and international mobilizations, with a view to strengthening collective rights.

Our practice is based on the solidity of the partnership established with actors from the South and the North: a solidarity partnership, where reciprocity, interaction and co-action prevail and where local actors are engaged in a process of social change of which they are both the origin and the driving force.

Alternatives pursues education and awareness-raising work, based on the same vision of social transformation, as an extension of any action in international solidarity.
