Our mission

The Association des grandparents du Qubec (ADGPQ) defends the rights of grandparents and their grandchildren in order to maintain the relationship as well as emotional and family ties. It also aims to strengthen recognition of the precious role of grandparents within Quebec society.

Our role

  • Accompany and direct grandparents to professionals or resources likely to help them in the event of family disputes
  • Support grandparents experiencing different problems and difficult relationships through various activities and our specialized helpline
  • Sensitize government authorities to the need to maintain family ties between grandparents and their grandchildren
  • Unite the greatest number of grandparents in Quebec around various political issues that affect them and defend their interests with the Quebec government
  • Deploy communication actions aimed at strengthening recognition of the essential role of grandparents in Quebec society.
