About this service
Needle Syringe Program (NSP).
The NSP works diligently to meet individuals where they are at, rather than making judgments about where they should be in terms of personal health and lifestyle. The program provides education surrounding wound and abscess care, safer injection information and risk reduction strategies. The NSP also provides the following resource distribution services:
- Sterile unused needles
- Safe inhalation kits
- Sharps containers
- Used needle disposal
- Ties and cookers
- Swabs, sterile water and filters
- Condoms and lubricant
Please note that the above is also subject to availability based on supply and demand.
Mobile Outreach
Our compassionate team of Harm Reduction staff provides weekly harm reduction community outreach services to predetermined locations within Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent. During outreach community members can access:
- Needle Syringe services
- Informal health and risk reduction counselling
- Information and referral services
