KW - Outreach

Knoxs Global Partners team supports local and global justice initiatives and food security in partnership with organizations such as Presbyterian World Service & Development, Ray of Hope, OneRoof, House of Friendship, KAIROS, and more. Together we work for a better world where there is enough for all. Creation Care Climate justice Knox is working to take action in stewarding creation within the context of the climate crisis and the environment. We aim to advocate politically and act locally. We partner with Faith Climate Justice Waterloo Region locally and draw on the expertise of climate justice organizations such as 50 BY 2030 Waterloo Region, Nith Valley Eco Boosters, Sustainable Waterloo Region, 350.org Canada, Citizens Climate Lobby Canada and the Climate Emergency Unit of the David Suzuki Institute. Other valued faith-based climate sources include Green Faith and For the Love of Creation (a Kairos/CPJ initiative endorsed by the PCC and over 30 other Canadian faith organizations). Caring Kitchen Caring Kitchen 2 The Caring Kitchen gathers teams of volunteers together from the church to cook meals for those in need out in the community. This past year they made dinner once a week for an emergency warming shelter in downtown Kitchener. We also provide breakfast for the residents of A Better Tent City twice a month on Saturday mornings.
