About this service
Diversion is an option offered by a judge to give youth a chance to have their criminal charges dropped or mitigated. This means the charges could be decreased or completely erased. To achieve this, the youth has to follow a treatment plan that the worker and youth create together. This plan usually lasts around 6-8 weeks, during which the worker would meet with the youth either weekly or biweekly for individual therapy sessions. The workers can also provide family/caregiver therapy.
