About this service
The most dangerous time for a woman and her children is often when she makes the brave decision to leave her abuser. Womens Habitat offers a safe, confidential location with everything a woman needs to rebuild her life. We provide women with housing and legal supports and ensure children have the help they need to overcome the violence they have witnessed or experienced. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are a 25-bed shelter with 10 separate bedrooms. Each woman has her own room to share with her children. We have a large living room, dining room, kitchen, kids play room, laundry room, library and five shared bathrooms in the house. We also have an accessible bedroom with accessible washroom on the main level.
