About this service

The settlement program offers settlement and counselling services to recently arrived newcomer refugees, all seeking status in Canada as part of first steps to citizenship. Interpretation, information, referrals and advocacy are provided to help refugees gain access to English language training and essential services. One-to-one and family counselling help newcomers deal with past traumas from their home countries and isolation in Canada.
