About this service
Getting and keeping identification is difficult for those who use the shelter system or are on the street. Theft and lacking a secure place to store ID mean clients often arrive with no identification at all.
The identification team help people obtain an Ontario Health Card through the Access program and when necessary apply for a birth certificate or proof of legal status. These documents then support application for a social insurance card.
