About this service
North York Womens Shelter actively supports the rights of women and children to build lives free of violence by providing non-judgemental safe shelter, advocacy, and a range of programs & services including 24-hour crisis support. An emergency residence with 17 bedrooms and the capacity to house between 30 40 women and their children plus a first in the Toronto area a kennel for their pets. A community service hub with wrap-around services offering violence-prevention programming and trauma-specific care and services to support both residents and women from the surrounding community.
