About this service

Jewish Family and Child Service offers two kinship programs: Kinship Service and Kinship Care. These programs enable children who cannot live with their original families to stay with trusted relatives or friends. In a Kinship Service arrangement, children are not classified as "children in care," but the Society assumes legal guardianship with associated rights and responsibilities. These programs help maintain childrens cultural, familial, and community connections, reinforcing their sense of belonging.
