About this service
Kennedy Houses D-Stay programs provide residential placement for male and female transitional-aged youth (TAY) 17-25 years old who are diagnosed as having autism and/or an intellectual disability and are Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) eligible. D-Stay is designed for individuals with needs that are not matched by childrens or youth residential services at their current age. Program philosophy exemplifies client centered planning and we adapt to each individuals needs.
Our Manse Road home is located in Scarborough and provides a family-like environment with private bedrooms for up to six individuals. It is a large 1 bungalow style home with all bedrooms on the upper levels, a large fenced backyard and is ideal for individuals who require staff support and yet crave independence. The home is within city limits, yet in a quiet suburb area. Many community programs both in the Durham Region as well as in the Toronto area are easily accessible.
