About this service
The Kingston Road program provides 7 bed for girls. This is a specialized program that meets the need of a select group of adolescent girls who require intensive and supportive intervention in order to experience success. This program provides for the assessment, stabilization and treatment for these youth. Kennedy House also provides transitional and independence planning. As with all Kennedy House programs, the focus is on preparing youth to live productive, independent lives, immersed in their own communities. The youth within the agency who are transitioning to independence have the opportunity to learn practical life skills thus preparing them for the responsibility of caring for oneself. This ten step program consists of the following: time Management, hygiene, transportation, nutrition, self-growth, health & safety, financial management, purchasing & use of community resources, education, job skills and employment preparation, and accommodation searching.
