About this service
The Diabetes Education Program at Unison Health & Community Services offers free individual counseling and group education classes for people with Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes. The program is staffed by Diabetes Educators, including Registered Nurses and Dietitians, who assist clients in managing or preventing diabetes. Additionally, the program provides free Teleophthalmology services, including eye exams and retinal screenings, in collaboration with South Riverdale Community Health Centre, Dr. Michael Brent, and the University Health Network.
