About this service
Getting settled in a new country is tough at the best of times. For survivors of torture and maltreatment, its even harder. Post-traumatic stress, grief, worry about family members back home these are just some of the extra challenges they face.
CCVTs settlement team helps refugees overcome these challenges, and start building a new life.
We offer a range of settlement services, tailored to each clients individual needs. These include:
Orientation and information
Interpretation and translation services
Individual support counselling
Employment counselling and computer training
Referrals to outside resources, including housing, social services, legal and medical help, skills training, cultural groups, and recreational programs
Peer-support groups
