About this service
The Mental Health Team at CCRIHC provides free private and confidential counselling for issues related to the unique experiences of refugees and newcomers in their lives prior to arrival, during their journey to Canada and upon settling into the Greater Toronto Area.
We also provide short-term counselling and referral for psychosocial problems related to stress management, family or relationship problems, trouble adjusting to Canadian life, addictions, domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse, parenting issues, and difficulties related to grief and loss or separation and divorce.
Support, referral and advocacy is provided for issues of emergency housing and food access as well as access to local community services.
