About this organization

Parkinson Canada is a national charity that provide services, support and education to individuals and health care professionals that treat them. In fulfilling its mandate, it develops programs and credible material about Parkinson's in both official languages, in print and digital formats. Parkinson Canada offers a toll-free information and referral line, support one-on-one, and in groups, information packages and access to local experts. Staff and volunteers deliver programs for people living with Parkinson's, care providers, health professionals, long term care homes, seniors' centres, etc. Parkinson Canada increases awareness and understanding of Parkinson's through strategic and effective communications and marketing to a variety of stakeholders. Parkinson Canada funds innovative research to understand causes, identify better treatments and find a cure, through the Parkinson Canada Research Program. The organization's mission is made possible through the generosity of donors.
