Muscular Dystrophy Canada funds peer-reviewed research grants to researchers in universities or other institutions in areas relevant to neuromuscular disorders. Our vision is to find a cure for muscular dystrophy. We provide support services which directly assist individuals, their families and caregivers. These services include assistance in terms of equipment funding, provision of information, referral, education and system navigation. We provide information to persons affected by neuromuscular disorders, their families, healthcare, professionals, educators and general public. This provides the opportunity for individuals to understand their disease and provides them with tools and supports to live their lives to the utmost of their abilities.
