About this organization

We are a 24-hour community based crisis service for adults 16+ in the City of Toronto, who are dealing with a serious mental health issue, concurrent or substance use issue and are currently in crisis. We believe every person has the right to live a self-directed life and to pursue their greatest level of wellness and happiness

Gerstein Crisis Centre has always actively supported consumer survivor initiatives by employing people from Abel Enterprises, Fresh Start Cleaning and Maintenance, Raging Spoon, and AWay Express

In support of artists with lived mental health and/or addictions issues, we have a beautiful collection of artwork from the Consumer Survivor Archives in both of our homes

Since 2009, we have offered the Finding Recovery through Exercise Skills and Hope (FRESH) Project, Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) groups, and WRAP Fitness sessions
