About this service
Timmins and Area Women in Crisis assists women who have experienced any form of violence or abuse. We provide referrals, information, advocacy, accompaniments and crisis intervention services with a non-judgmental and confidential approach. We work towards empowering women to become independent by supporting them in making healthy choices and achieving their goals. To provide a temporary, safe refuge for Aboriginal and all women and their children who are leaving violent homes. Using a feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppressive framework, we are committed to creating a culturally appropriate environment for all women, as well as supporting and promoting healthy choices and positive changes according to individual needs.
