About this service
Supported Independent Living (SIL) provides people with the opportunity and support to live semi-independently within the community. Living arrangements are sought together based on the persons wants and needs. Options could be room and board, room only, an apartment either shared or on their own, or owning their own home. Support workers provide intermittent support in all aspects of a persons life, in conjunction with family and other community supports. In order for a person to be as independant as possible, support includes but is not limited to; medical, financial, advocacy, community skills, nutrition, etc
Our goal is to enable individuals with an intellectual disability to live as independently as possible, respecting the individuals interests and wishes. To do this, we work with other agencies, services and our community.
