About this service
Each of the 71 full and part time paramedics in direct delivery as well as the 11 paramedics in the contracted service are fully certified primary care paramedic. The 92 paramedics and 6 Commanders form an integral part of the District of Cochranes emergency preparedness team.
Cochrane Districts paramedics are highly skilled, compassionate professionals, trained to provide emergency medical treatment and transport sick and injured people.Timmins has 3 ambulances that begin staggered 12 hour shifts from 06:00 to 08:00. There are also 2 12 hour night shifts. As the largest center, Timmins is home to 20 full time staff as well as most of our 30 part time staff members.
