About this organization

Hope Church was established in 1985 with most families coming from our sister churches in Thunder Bay - Bethlehem Christian Reformed Church and First Christian Reformed Church. While many of the founding families of those churches are of Dutch heritage, we are now a multicultural church that strives to welcome everyone in our midst. When Hope was established, we first shared worship space with Broadway United Church. Later, the congregation purchased the old Crawford Street School building, holding Sunday morning services in the school gym. A new, accessible sanctuary was added on in 2006, and is still our place of worship. The rest of the original school building is used for a variety of church programming and rental space.
