JHS - Sault Ste. Marie - Housing Stability Bank

This service is offered to people that are housed but facing an inability to pay either their rent and/or utilities. In order to maintain their housing, our staff assesses what circumstances led to the situation followed by the development of a plan to ensure the housing and finances are stabilized. A repayment plan is developed along with the client for monies provided by the Housing Division of Sault Ste. Marie to be repaid. This service offers the benefit of people maintaining their housing along with case management to ensure they are able to manage their finances and referrals when other service are deemed necessary.
