About this organization

Embracing the way of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul we serve the homeless and poor of our community by actions that provide them with shelter, clothing, food, household essentials and compassionate attention through a dedicated group of volunteers and staff. St. Vincent Place consists of three components; a Mens Shelter, the St. Vincent Thrift Store and a Food Services component which contains a Food Bank and a Soup Kitchen. St. Vincent Place receives general funding from the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSMSSAB), the Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS-Federal Government), as well as grants such as the Bishop Carter Foundation and previously the Trillium Foundation.
