About this organization

Mon Sheong Foundation is Canadas first registered charity specializing in the Chinese community. We are dedicated to the promotion of Chinese culture, heritage, language, and philosophy by caring for the elderly, encouraging the young, and providing programs and services to meet the needs of our communities.

Taking our name from Lord Mengchang, a man of legendary generosity who lived in China around 300 BC, we have been proudly serving the Greater Toronto Area since 1964. Throughout our history, we have constantly introduced new initiatives to fulfill our mission, and today we are home to three long-term care centres, an adult day program, three Chinese school campuses, a youth group, two community and volunteer services centres, three independent living senior apartments, and private care, and charity care units.
