About this service
For children and youth 6-14. The MFRC works with youth, teens, and community partners to ensure the provision of youth/teens programs which promote emotional and social well-being and address any identified needs. Some of these programs are babysitting, home alone, self-defense, bike safety, and self-esteem workshops. A newly refurbished Youth Centre is located in the MFRC/Siskin Centre; you can find the entrance at the side door. The Youth Centre has a variety of activities for youth 6-14 years old, with new programs added to the monthly calendar: craft days, outdoor activities, pool table, ping pong, a well-stocked canteen, karaoke, Wii, PS2 just to name a few. The Centre is supervised at all times, and parents are invited to stop by anytime to see the activities.
