About this service
Hospice Quinte recognizes that with these extra responsibilities, caregivers are experiencing increased stress and struggles with their own well-being, even burnout and depression. Tired, frustrated, anxious, and overwhelmed, caregivers need support themselves... now more than ever. In order to provide as much support as we can at a safe distance, Hospice Quinte will now be offering Peer Telephone Caregiver Support until social distancing is no longer required. Peer Telephone Caregiver Support is available for individuals who are 18 years or older, living in Quinte, and are the primary caregiver of a family member, friend, or neighbor. Peer Telephone Caregiver Support will be provided by a Hospice Quinte volunteer. All volunteers have completed a 10-week Visiting Volunteer educational program and are trained to understand the unique needs of caregivers.
